Join Newcomb Institute on a trip to New York City to attend the
Athena Film Festival at Barnard College, February 27-March 1, 2020. The festival is a weekend of inspiring films that tell the extraordinary stories of strong, bold women leaders from all walks of life – stories of ambition, courage, resilience, and moxie.

While in the city, students will take a tour of The Dinner Party, an installation artwork by feminist artist Judy Chicago. Widely regarded as the first epic feminist artwork, it functions as a symbolic history of women in Western civilization.
Newcomb funding will cover flights, lodging (double room occupancy), registration fee, and local transportation. You will need to provide funding to cover meals and local expenses. As New York City is expensive, you will want to budget at least $50 per day
for these costs.
