Capoeira Regional Club
About
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of both fighting and dance. Created by African slaves in Brazil aiming to train to fight by disguising it as a dance, Capoeira is played by two people at a time in a "roda" a circle formed by the other Capoeiristas who play instruments and sing while the two people are playing to the rhythm of the music. Capoeira is not only a great way to learn a unique martial art, but also a great workout and a way to learn about Brazilian culture. No experience is necessary!
