Description
Join USG's Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Committee for a talk from Dr. Lisa Wade, Tulane professor and author of American Hookup, will educate students in the many aspects of hook-up culture on campus, including race, gender, current events, and the concept of virginity. These different ideas will be thoroughly examined and connected to its contributions towards sexual pleasure and current student outlooks. Dr. Wade will use her professional knowledge to address ways of improving these issues in an effort to promote sex positivity on campus. Additionally, she will touch upon the ways in which Covid-19 has affected hook-up culture and how to adjust to this new societal situation. Once the talk is finished, there will be a productive, yet enjoyable, activity as well as a discussion to gather a deeper understanding of the topics discussed. Live closed-captioning will be provided.
